Health problems among AsianPacific populations also vary. Cancer Is more prevalent among Chinese. Japanese. and Filipino AmerIcans. Filipinos have a high Incidence of hypertenslon. and Southeast Asian refugees have a high prevalence of tuberculosis. hepatitis B. and anemia. Native Hawaiians are five times more likely to die from stomach cancer than their Caucasian counterparts. and have the highest incidence of diabetes of any population in the United States. Access to culturally sensitive health care is almost nonexistent.
