I can think of no more appropriate thing to say about our great leaders. because after they are gono. if they stood for something. if they fought for something. if they worked for something. and if they died for something. then they are truly in our lives forever. I know that Cesar Chavez will be in the lives of Americans forever. And. if he were here today. this is what he would say. He would tell us that the conditions of the migrant workers are still bleak. that a decade of neglect has washed over many of his gains. that workers from California to Florida need a voice. and that it is time to create jobs for our people. Mr. Presidentdecent paying jobs for our people.
