Chavez labored in the orchard fields and vineyards in personal witness to the poor conditions and unfair wages. He Inspired and organized his fellow workers to form the Nations first successful union for agricultural workers. the United Farm Workers. Mr. Chavez continued to stand up for the rights of migrant farm workers until his very last days. Although Cesar Chavez is no longer with us. his body and spirit will remain deeply embedded in the same soil of his labor. as well as in the hearts and minds of those he represented. His memory will forever be a driving force for the Farm Workers Union. and for all workingpeople.
