The people understand what is going on here. Mr. President. I do not understand what has been going on this year. We have been talking about lifting the ban on homosexuals in the military. arguing about bringing in immigrants with AIDS. and now we are going to have Federal funds through Medicaid for everybody to get an abortion. We have had tax increases. spending increases. and now on top of all of that. a bill that alleges it is going to create more jobs than it will and that will add to the deficit. So I think it is proper that we draw the line here.
