Leteane. the adopted son of Dr. Robert Edgar. of Virginia. is originally from Lesotho in southern Africa. His natural parents are both deceased. Regrettably. Leteanes circumstances are extreme. and can only be remedied through the extraordinary relief afforded by enactment of a private immigration bill. Leteane has osteogenesis imperfecta. a debilitating bone disease more commonly known as brittle bones and characterized by multiple fractures during ones early developing years. Because of the lack of medical care available to Leteane while he was growing up in Lesotho. he now has severe and crippling physical disabilities and is permanently confined to a wheelchair.
