When you are campaigning. when you have not been in the Congress. when you have not been in the White House. sometimes things look a little different out there on the campaign than they do when you start confronting realities. I think President Clinton. when he was campaigning. made mistakes. When he said back in May of 1992 that he would give Haitian refugees asylum and bashed President Bushs policy in that area. he was wrong. Now as he has looked at what might happen with this influx of illegal Haitian boat people coming in to Florida. Perhaps he has realized. wait a minute now. that is not the right way to go.
