Unchecked population growth has and will continue to have direct consequences for the global economy and for international standards of living. Rapid population growth impedes worldwide economic progress by keeping people in many countries too poor to buy more than basic necessities. Growth in the number of people is overrunning the creation of schools to educate them and the Jobs to employ them. In Mexico. 1 million new workers enter the labor force each year but only 200.000 new jobs are created.
