And for 3 long years the President has told us we should get out of the way and let China reform from within. But heres how China has chosen to reform: The Government of China continues to violate internationally accepted standards of human rights. including torture. arbitrary arrest and detention. and the use of prison labor. The Government of China continueb to deny Chinese citizens the right of free emigration. The Government of China continues to repress the Tibetan people who seek political and religious freedom. The Government of China continues to control trade unions and harass accredited journalists.
