Leading human rights organizations including Amnesty International have cited Northern Ireland for persistent police misconduct and judicial irregularities. While the convictions of celebrated prisoners like the Maguires. the Birmingham Six. and the Guilford Four have recently been quashed. we must be mindful that other victims of the criminal justice system in Northern Ireland continue to suffer.
