Go home and tell your taxpayers what you have done for them. You deserve to do it for this program because it simply is not working. It was a worthwhile attempt. and we appreciate that. but you cannot continue to fund the operation. Mr. Chairman. I rise in support of the amendment to end funding for TV Marti. This amendment has nothing to do with our feelings about communism. or Fidel Castro. or Cuban refugees. This amendment has to do with what makes sense for taxpayers. We have spent nearly $50 million over the past 2 years to create and operate this telecommunications white elephant.
