I rise In support of H.R. 761. and I want to thank my colleagues on the Judiciary Committee for their assistance In bringing this bill to the floor on behalf of Ms. Amanda Vasquez Walker. Ms. Walker Is a native of Argentina. She came to the United States in 1986 as an exchange student on a J1 visa. She attended a Govemmentsponsored program and was In the country for 42 days. During that period she met her current husband. Mr. John Walker. who Is a U.S. citizen. When Ms. Walker retumed to Argentina. she corresponded with Mr. Walker.
