This week will see a particularly meaningful example of my home States role in Americas tradition as a great melting pot when New Jerseys Jewish Heritage Festival begins. Thanks to the spread of freedom and human rights around the world. this years festival will be attended by Soviet. Syrian. and Ethiopian Jews. The festival is a decadesold celebration of the unique Jewish culture. That these immigrants can attend such a celebration and are now free to practice their religionas they never could in the Soviet Union. Syria. and Ethiopiaserves to remind us all of how lucky we are to live in the United States. Mr.
