Speaker. I am pleased to recognize Miamis Epiphany School which was recently featured in the Miami Herald. The article "Classes collect cans to help youngsters". by Jon ONeill. tells how the Miami school has won international recognition through a recycling program which has raised more than $1.000 for 30 migrant children the school adopted this year: The students at Epiphany School have turned aluminum cans into gold for a group of migrant children. And they did it so well that three students will speak at the United Nations about the project Sunday. The 922 students at the school. led by an eager third grade class. raised more than $1.000 for 30 migrant kids they adopted earlier this year. They ended up winning a contest sponsored by the World Childrens Foundation. which is affiliated with UNICEFthe United Nations Childrens fund. Schools from more than 130 countries took part in the contest and each winning school will make a presentation at the UN.
