And during this month for celebration. it is only fitting that we honor our fellow Americans of AsianPacific descent--both from the past and the presentthat have blessed and enriched our Nation. I submit that AsianPacific Americans have certainly been an asset to our countrys development. and it is most appropriate that our President and Congress have proclaimed May as AsianPacific Heritage Month.
