Malre Bell Delana emigrated from Ireland and brought with her an unwavering belief in public service. In addition to her 20 years with the Eastchester savings division of Southhold Savings. she has been an active member of many community organizations. The worthwhile causes to which she has devoted her time and energy include the Mount Vernon Police Bullet Proof Vest Fund. the Mount Vernon PBA. the Mount Vernon Irish Association. the Leukemia Society of Westchester. the Muscular Dystrophy Association. and the Earthquake Relief Fund.
