PolishAmericans have been in the United States since the first settlement at Jamestown and now are a crucial piece of the American mosaic. PolIshAmericans have always been noted for their hard work. academic achievement. and close family ties. This resolution recognizes the special achievements of all PolishAmericans. As this Joint resolution acknowledges the contributions of PolishAmericans to the United States. it also commemorates the country from which these valued immigrants came from. After many years of foreign domination. two world wars and the cold war. Poland is a phoenix rising from the ashes.
