During this time it has served an extraordinarily broad array of American society. the elderly. the inner city poor. migrant farm workers and many others. who sadly. do not have the resources to obtain essential legal services. Without the legal representation provided by the local LSC supported agencies there are many people in our society who would be effectively locked out of the countrys legal system. Founded In 1974. the Legal Services Corporation was last authorized by Congress for the 3year period 197780.
