I have known him to be a tireless lighter for human !ights. While the horrific events leadlng to the deaths of over oneandahalf million Armenians occurred over 75 years ago. their impact on the psyche of the Armenian people. and indeed the entire world are still evident. The effects of such atrocities are not easily. if ever. overcome. Many can still testify to the deportations and massacres of families and friends. Other have read or seen pictures of the unspeakable abominations. and all Armenians. young and old. live with the knowledge that their entire peoples existence was seriously threatened during the last years of the Ottoman Empire.
