I would like to make my colleagues aware of the outstanding accomplishment of John W. Casey of La Grange. IL. who was recently elected Secretary General of the World Alliance of YMCAs. I am pleased that he is the first American in 35 years to fill this important position. Since 1982. Mr. Casey has served as president of the Chicago chapter of the YMCA. He has done a marvelous job of refocusing YMCAs efforts to help atrisk youth and expand community development activities by setting up support and service networks.
