Session #102 · 1991–93

Speech #1020149106

Madam Speaker. I am pleased to join Congresswoman RosLEHTINEN and my other colleagues In this opportunity to address the continuing tragedy of Cuba. No American better typifies the contributions to the United States made by Cuban Immigrants than the Congresswoman. As the first CubanAmerican elected to Congress. she is truly an example of the American dream for a group of Americans that have suffered so much at the hands of tyranny. Her leadership on this Issue is an inspiration to all of us who have worked to bring an end to Castros reign of terror. Our purpose tonight is to bring attention to the terrible human rights situation in Castros Cuba.
