We have needs here at home that must be met and there are places where we can cut the foreign aid budget. But. the American people are a generous and caring people. When they are called upon. they open their hearts to those less fortunate in other parts of the world. Now is such a time. Now is the time when refugees from the former Soviet Republics want to emigrate and now is the time that Israel most needs our help. Now is a time for the American people to educate their politicians that they refuse to be pawns in a sad and misguided Bush administration policy. Lets approve the loan guarantees and get on with the business of the Nation.
