I rise today in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Hamtramck. Mi. Established In 1917 du.ng the tenure of Bishop John Foley of Detroit. Our Lady Queen of Apostles Is tne result of the .%termination of a small group of Polish immigrants. the church continues to serve as a spiritual core for the community. The strength. perseverance. and faith. of the parishioners was evident in the churchs establishment 75 years ago. Within 1 year. these pioneers. who had been worshipping In a fellow parishioners home. completed constuction of the original Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church.
