Session #102 · 1991–93

Speech #1020136800

Of those we repatriated. in every single case there has been no persecution shown despite reports that are out there. Every case investigated shows no persecution of those returned. Let us keep and abide by the laws of this Nation. There are not similar cases to go with. except the history of Haiti. We need to have the U.S. immigration laws apply here. the refugee laws apply. and let us vote down this bill instead of encouraging more to come at a loss of life to them. a breach of the policies of this Government. and encouragement of thousands. yea millions. of those that are economic unfortunates who try to come here. and we just cannot absorb them all.
