Very briefly I would like to thank the gentleman from Texas for allowing us to bring this bill up. I would like to very much thank my subcommittee. I could not have worked with greater people in getting us where we are today. I would Just remind the committee in the House what the bill does not do. It does not admit any people into the country who are not eligible to enter as refugees having passed the asylum screening process. It does not provide any immigration benefits or any kind of refugee benefits to any group of people. It is time limited. It is not open ended.
