Embassy. They found no substantiating evidence that there is any persecution. rather. there were contradictions in some of these reports. The fact of the matter is we need to be fair to the millions of people from other nations who seek to immigrate to the United States for economic reasons or other reasons. and we should not have a special precedent being set here for Haitians who should be allowed to come into the United States under the framework of our immigration laws and policies. As much as we all feel for the Haitians and hope they have a good government. a sound. free government being reinstated in Haiti. we cannot be a nanny for the rest of the world.
