Feldenkrels extended his business activities to the garment industry and founded Supreme International Corp.. presently the largest importer of "guayabera" shirts in the world and the largest independent wearing apparel import operation in the Southeastern United States. Dr. Feldenkreis earned the LincolnMarti Award from the U.S. Department of Health. Education and Welfare for valuable cooperation in connection with the Cuban Refugee Program and for extraordinary and meritorious performance of civic duty. He has organized fund raising activities for the Combined Jewish Appeal (CJA) among the Cuban Jewish community and served as president of the CJA Cuban Hebrew Division for seven years. He was the first native Cuban to serve on the Greater Miami Jewish Federation board of directors.
