Captioning technology makes it possible for them to watch TV again. We also know that many of our Nations elderly watch the Senate and House in session and maintain a keen interest in the workings of their Government. To them we say welcome. Captions are more and more frequently used as a learning aid by those whose first language is not English. Many of these people are new immigrants attempting to learn the language of their new nation. To them we say welcome. I know my friend. the distinguished Republican leader. joins me in greeting all of our new viewers.
