This is a bill designed to correct the injustices created by a law that not only is outdated. a remnant of an era when women were treated as chattels rather than equal partners. but in all likelihood is unconstitutional as well. My bill will end the discriminatory practice of refusing women the right to pass citizenship to their children. Mr. President. it is time to correct once and for all this vestige of a time long past. It is time the foreign born children of American mothers be granted the citizenship they always thought they had. and which they rightly deserve. And. Mr.
