Unfortunately. it does not look like these developments will reverse themselves in the near future. I would like to bring to the attention of my colleagues the case of Alla Iosifovna Makavoz of Kharkov in the Ukraine. Mrs. Makavoz is the mother of Seattle resident David Makavoz and the grandmother to he and his wife Marinas two small children. David and Marina Makavoz were allowed to emigrate to the United States in 1989 and Mrs. Makavoz has not seen her children or her grandchildren in more than a year and a half. Mrs. Makavoz is suffering ..om breast cancer. After complications with her first cancer operation.
