Connie retired from his job as congressional aide and press secretary to me. Since then. he has been assisting the United Way of Hudson County as president of the Hudson County Council of Social Agencies. where he helped develop the American Way program which assists immigrants. Several years ago I was honored to receive the Family Award for governmental assistance. Other recipients of this award have included Jersey City Mayor Gerald McCann and former mayor of Bayonne.
