Asha worked with the Neighborhood Legal Services Program in the District of Columbia and with Montana Legal Services Association. serving as an attorney/adviser to tribal court personnel on the Northern Cheyenne and Crow Indian Reservations and working with other lowincome clients in Montana. Her work continued in this spirit when she joined my staff in 1989. serving as my legislative assistant for human services issues. refugee and immigration reform. and finally. health care issues.
