It is my hope that another decade of repression will not be inflicted on this longsuffering man and his family. Although a signatory to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. the Soviet Union has continually ignored that documents provisions by failing to allow its citizens free exit and entry. Mr. Speaker. I ask my colleagues to join me in expressing support for Mr. Samuel Rombe and his fight for emigration. and to continue to urge the Soviet Union to obtain the release of Mr. Rombe as well as the thousands of other refuseniks who remain prisoners in their own land.
