I feel a profound sense of loss in his passing. Although Richs life was short in years. it was long in terms of public service and activism. Rich was a tireless volunteer. and always found time to play a constructive role in national. State and local community affairs. He was one of Colorados youngest State legislators. a prolific writer. a municipal official and a champion for public education. equal rights. immigration reform and social justice. His greatest passion was human rightsand he devoted most of his professional life to the cause of racial equality and harmony. Rich was a very modest man.
