In their concept of government. their high regard for the arts. architecture. and philosophy. they provided the foundation on which our culture proudly rests. The relationship between Greece and America is not bound by history alone. Over 3 million Greek immigrants have come to the United States where they have generously contributed to our culture. The Greek community is a vital part of the city of San Franciscos diverse community. We In San Francisco have a special gratitude because of our mayor and his Greek heritage.
