In order to continue to build on this programs record of success. we should seek additional funds for these programs In the upcoming fiscal year so that we can further reduce our Infant mortality rates and expand access to health care. Again. I thank my colleagues on the Appropriatuns Committee for their wise statement against the diversion of funds from the Community and Migrant Health Center Program. As we move forward to fiscal 1992 appropriations. I am hopeful that we will be able not only to protect. but also to expand. funding for this vital program which reduces infant mortality and provides a full range of health care services to our most atrisk populations.
