Mr. Speaker. I rise In very strong support of House Resolution 312 introduced by my good friends. the gentleman from Pennsylvania . my chairman. and the ranking member. the gentleman from Nebraska . both internationally known advocates for human rights and for children. whether It be childsurvival initiatives or adoption or refugees. they have always been out in front on childrens issues. and I want to commend them for that. The resolution asks the President. Mr. Speaker. to submit the Convention on the Rights of the Child to the Senate for its advice and consent to ratification. I am very proud to be an original sponsor of this measure.
