Speech #1010201072

Leo V. Berger. who was described in Barons maga. zine as "an old sea salt In businessmans garb." His story is a typical American success storya story I would like to share with my colleagues in the Congress today. Mr. Speaker. as Leo marks his 70th birthday. Leo Berger was an impoverished immigrant from Hungary. who spent his youth In an American orphanage. He rose to become one of the top independent shipowners in AmerIca. Along the way. he benefited from good timing and a bit of luck. but Leos success is unmistakably the result of his sharp business mind.
