I appreciate the words of the Senator. I realize it is premature to make such an offer. I hate to see all the good which has been expressed here. and the fact that we are so close on concepts. that we want to go back to Griggs. we agree on shifting the burden of proof. we do not want a quota bill. we want damages which are reasonable and equitablethose are the critical goals we are trying to accomplish and everyone agrees. I hope we can do it in a constructive way and we can reach unanimous consent to agree to those issues. I yield the floor.
