Session #101 · 1989–91

Speech #1010163202

Madam Speaker. we are very pleased to hear that. They should have been in there a long time ago to bring about peace and stability to that region. and to bring peace and foodstuffs to people who are dying and to allow the Red Cross in. He said that he is going to allow the Falasha Jews to emigrate. if they choose. and they have. in effect. been held hostage for some time. and we are happy to see that he is starting to ease up in that particular area as well. In addition. he has said they are going to suspend the bombing of Massawa. That should never have taken place in the first place because all he was bombing was innocent men. women. and children who had nothing to do with the conflict.
