I would like to draw the attention of my colleagues to the distinguished honor which will be bestowed upon Hy Rottman by the Tom Paine New Rochelle Lodge of Bnai Brith this Sunday. Mr. Rottman will receive the lodges distinguished Man of the Year Award for his leadership in both the business community and his commitment and dedication to the Jewish community. He came to the United States in 1949. as a 16yearold immigrant from Poland. From the moment that he set foot on American soil. he ambitiously pursued the American dream. Within a year. he graduated from Taft High School in the Bronx.
