Mr. Speaker. it gives me a great deal of pleasure to pay tribute to an exemplary member of my Fifth Congressional Distict In Illinois. Mr. George Furgala. On March 12. 1990. Mr. Furgala will turn 105 years old. an accomplishment worthy of special recognition. A longtime resident of this great country. Mr. Furgala came to this great Nation in the early wave of immigrants In the 1900s. Arriving from what is now Poland. he later became an American citizen. Mr. Furgala spent 70 years of study and preaching the Good Word. the Bible. On top of the usual difficulties. he raised a family of four lovely children while working to overcome the difficulties of a language barrier.
