Army. in fact. presented to him an Award of Merit for his leadership in honoring over 1 million returning Korean war veterans. an act for which he was also commended by President Eisenhower and Vice President Nixon. I am especially grateful to Jack for his role in creating the Plaza of the States for the Seattle Worlds Fair. This site is now used annually to honor naturalized citizens of the United States. The Plaza of the States is a dignified and beautiful location for this ceremony. I could go on: Jack has served in leadership roles for 20 different civic organizations. including 10 years on the Seattle Human Rights Commission.
