It is only through discussion at the negotiating table that a peaceful solution to the situation on Cyprus is possible. Who would have thought that we would witness the Berlin Wall tumble? The people of Cyprus. both Turkish and Greek. are frustrated by the status quoa divided nation. It is time for the walls that divide the capital city of Nicosia to come down. It is time that Cypriot refugees. whether they are Greek or Turkish. be permitted to return to their homes. And it is time that occupying forces withdraw to enable the Cypriot people to determine for themselves the direction in which Cyprus should proceed.
