The passage of this legislation has a special significance for me and all the western New Yorkers following the case of U Jin Mu. In Niagara County. NY. there is a young Chinese man in jail who is awaiting the outcome of his petition for asylum. In China. U Jin Mus wife was forced to have four abortions after their first child. But at the start of the last pregnancy. U and his wife decided to leave China and seek the protection that they heard about on Voice of America.
