The world media. however. fail to recall the American heroes who preserved a free Europe on the other side of the wall. We must never lose sight or forget symbols of communism such as the Iron Curtain. which was built to keep its people in rather than to keep others from entering. Free nations. such as the United States. need no walls to keep their people from leaving. In fact. we have to regulate the number of emigrants to our Nation because so many people dream of the day when they can come here to live and worship freely. That dream is only possible because of Americas veterans and their unselfish service. With the approach of a new decade.
