Session #101 · 1989–91

Speech #1010114569

Mr. President. there are countless yardsticks against which one may measure a person for achievement and success. But the greatest of these. I believe. is charitywhat one has done for his fellow man. This is the truest measure of any person. Viewed from this standpoint. Philadelphias Samuel Rappaport is a monumental achiever. The son of immigrant Jewish parents. Sam began his life in modest circumstances. At an early age. he learned the value of hard work and he never forgot it. He also was introduced early to great sorrow. His parents lost 14 members of their families in the Holocaust.
