I have said over and over again that we have a situation in El Salvador where on the left killings are done in the name of liberation. and on the right they are done in the name of either freedom or the Lord. But it is the people who are in the middleinnocent people in the middle who are killed. As I stated to the Senate once before. I recall speaking with a woman there whose husband and children had been killed. She had one child left. and she was in a refugee camp. I was there with the distinguished senior Senator from Rhode Island. She told me of her whole family being killed.
