Session #101 · 1989–91

Speech #1010090491

For many in our country desecration of the flag denigrates their military service where wounds were inflicted on many Americans who believed the flag should be protected. where many of their comrades died in military service. My own recollections of the flag go back to my fathers view and my mothers view. My parents came to this country from foreign shores. my father fought in World War I as an immigrant to make the world safe for democracy. he carried shrapnel in his legs until the day he died. He had great respect for the flag. He was a patriot.
