I sit in the Senate until 3 oclock in the morning and listen to my distinguished colleagues talk about refugees from Poland and East Germany. and so on. while we have refugees right herehonest. taxpaying Americanswho have been abandoned by their own Government. which refuses to heed the law passed right in this Congress. And. of course. its all too predictable that a month or two down the road we will have a belated. politically inspired declaration. But it will come too late.
