Chairman of the Committee of the Whole House on the State of the Union. reported that that Committee. having had under consideration the bill to provide for a General Accounting Office investigation and report on conditions of displaced Salvadorans and Nicaraguans. to provide certain rules of the House of Representatives and of the Senate with respect to review of the report. to provide for the temporary stay of detention and deportation of certain Salvadorans and Nicaraguans. and for other purposes. pursuant to House Resolution 230. he reported the bill back to the House with an amendment adopted by the Committee of the Whole.
